In Honor of Our Father
Michael M. Wentworth

When Dad passed in 2014, I knew I wanted to do something to help his legacy live on, so immediately my brother Cameron and I started growing out our mustaches. It soon became clear that our facial hair would never truly measure up to the legendary stache of Mike Wentworth, and I knew we needed to do something bigger and better to honor him. We kept growing out our mustaches and that November, Stache Sergeants was born. We invited a group of our close friends out for a round of golf on 11/30/14 and asked each of them to grow their staches and write a check or make a minimum donation of $20 to American Cancer Society in honor of Michael M. Wentworth. That year, with the help of my amazing then fiance Daphne, who had graciously agreed to let me grow my stache for another month, we had our first Stache Sergeants’ Movember Golf Tournament and raised just over $500.

We have grown a little bigger every year since, and we are proud to say that at our 3rd annual tournament in 2016 we raised just over $7,800 and helped Friday Harbour to provide approximately 156 nights of free housing for cancer patients and their families coming to Houston to receive treatment in the Houston Medical Center. Our goal this year is to raise $20,000 for Friday Harbour, and by adding more events and increasing awareness, we hope to eventually become a leader for charitable fundraising in the Houston community.

“Come for the stache and stay for the cause!”

Stache Sergeants Leadership

A. S. Milam Wentworth

President, Founder

Milam, originally from Waco, TX, received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Child and Family Studies from Baylor University in 2010 where he was also a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity. He married his beautiful bride, Daphne Wentworth in the fall of 2015, and together they are executive board members of the Houston based 501(c)3 non-profit, Friday Harbour. He is currently employed at Expedited Logistics and Freight Services, LLC. In his role as their National Strategic Accounts Manager, he focuses on some of the company’s larger nationwide accounts to help plan, implement, and improve turn-key logistics and delivery solutions based on data analysis and opportunity costs. He has also been a committee member of Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo since 2014. In his free time, you can find Milam on the golf course, out at his ranch breaking things, fixing them, hunting and camping, or out of town on another adventure with Daphne.

Daphne H. Wentworth

Co-Founder, Vice President Marketing & Communications

Daphne, originally from Monterrey, Mexico, received her degree in Communication Sciences with an emphasis in Marketing from Universidad Autonoma de Nuevo Leon. In early 2013, she moved to Houston and attended the Language and Culture Center at the University of Houston, where she began learning and concluded her English Language course. Shortly after moving to Houston, she met and fell in love with her now husband, Milam Wentworth. Their courtship was one-of-a-kind as neither of them had a firm grasp on the other’s native language, but they knew instantly they were meant for each other, and with the help of google translate and a lot of patience they were married a little less than 3 years later. She has been a fashion model with the Neal Hamil Agency since 2015, and is currently employed as a Brand Ambassador at BeDesign working with interior designers and architects to provide high-end furnishings for homes and businesses. Daphne and Milam are executive board members of the Houston based 501(c)3 non-profit, Friday Harbour, and committee members of Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

Cameron Wentworth

Co-Founder, Vice President of Operations

Cameron, originally from Waco, TX, started his formal education at Baylor University in 2009, where he graduated with a Bachelors in Business degree, specializing in Entrepreneurship and Real Estate. After graduating, he moved to live with his best friend and older brother Milam Wentworth in Houston Texas. He spent a couple of years finding his true calling, working in the service industry, and then began his career as an inside sales representative at Texas Iron and Metal. He has been a loyal volunteer with The Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo since 2015, and enjoys spending his free time with family and friends. Cameron can regularly be found at one of his favorite local Houston breweries, or on the golf course where two of his greatest influences taught him a game of patience and true poise. He is honored to be a part of a charity organization that raises money for people in need, and allows him to spend time with his older brother and sister-in-law, playing the greatest game ever played!

David N. Bulkley

David is an Oil & Gas professional at Noble Drilling Services Inc. Originally from Austin, Texas, David won the Amory Blaine Handsomeness scholarship to Baylor University where he studied finance and was voted, “Most.” David once hit a stand-up triple off Fidel Castro. He was the first person ever to say, “I need a vacation from this vacation.” The song, “You’re So Vain,” is, in fact, about him. When David’s not busy taking care of business he’s out on the golf course looking for a ball he shanked in 1987…he is not taking that penalty stroke.

David Williams, Jr.

Director of Sponsor Relations

David, received his Bachelor of Science degree Environmental Science/Chemistry from Sam Houston State University in 1999. While he was involved in many Chemistry lab experiments gone awry he had time for playing recreational sports for the Bearkats. He has been with Enterprise Products for 11 years and is currently a Field Environmental Manager, covering assets from South Texas up the Gulf Coast into Louisiana. Through his outings on the golf course and multiple run-ins with Milam at sponsorship events, he was elated about the opportunity to join the Stache Sergents Team in 2016.

Tony Conrad

Tony Conrad is currently Logistics Manager North America for Baker Hughes, a GE company. He is a dedicated, creative and accomplished leader in the oil and gas and industry. With over 25 years of experience, he has helped many companies control costs, set up lean processes and manage their supply chain and shipping organizations. When away from work he enjoys many outdoor activities such as fishing, camping, and golf.

Jonathon McClellan

Jonathon McClellan has a decade of experience with state and national governments, political campaigns, legislative work and advocacy and serves as the Director of Outreach for Public Blueprint, a Texas based public affairs firm. He has been actively involved in campaigns at every level – from presidential to judicial and all the way down the ballot to the local level. Jonathon and his wife, Sarah, are both graduates of Baylor University and reside in Houston with their daughter, Mary Beth. When not working, Jonathon enjoys traveling, tailgating at Baylor football games, and barbecuing on his Big Green Egg.

Dan Gabriel

Dan graduated from Clemson University in 2012 where he was an active member of his fraternity, Pi Kappa Alpha. Dan and his wonderful wife Erin recently moved to Houston, TX for his job at Vallen North America, a Safety, Electrical, and MRO Distributor. Dan manages day-to-day operations at their Gulf Coast Distribution Center located in Pasadena, TX. Among his many accomplishments, Dan once won a hotdog-eating contest in college. His handicap is as stunning as his haircut, but he has had a mustache for over 6 years and parties like a Rockstar, so he was a natural fit to be a Stache Sergeant. Dan and Erin spend their time with their new corgi puppy, Barbara Bush Gabriel, and exploring their new city.

Rogelio (Roy) Ruiz

Roy, originally from a small town in Presidio, TX (Mexico), where he learned how to speak English and graduated from Sam Rayburn High. He is the Distribution Supervisor at Baker Hughes, GE Company with over 20 years of experience in the oil and gas industry.  Roy learned how to spend that money that Tony Conrad saved them at BHGE.  There are many loves in Roy’s life, first and foremost his family, football, golf, and his BBQ cooking team to name a few. He also just won a hunting golf cart in a raffle, so he feels like his luck is turning because he has never won anything. Roy is honored that Milam asked him to be part of the Stache Sergeants from the beginning, and he is proud of all the work that they do assisting cancer patients and their families.
