About Stache Sergeants

A word from our President and Founder:

In honor of our Father, Michael M. Wentworth, who succumbed to cancer and passed away in August of 2014, (who also sported such a stellar mustache that would have made even Sam Elliot jealous and who loved to play golf), my younger brother Cameron, my wife Daphne, and I started the Stache Sergeant’s Annual Golf Tournament to raise money for non-profit organizations aimed at fighting the battle against cancer and to promote men’s health awareness.

Since then, my wife Daphne and I have joined the board of directors for an amazing Houston based 501(c)(3) non-profit organization called Friday Harbour, and now all proceeds and donations from our events are given in my father’s name to this organization.  Friday Harbour is dedicated to “Healing cancer one night at a time,” by raising money to fund housing for out of town cancer patients and their families coming to Houston for treatment at MD Anderson, Texas Childrens, and the Houston Medical Center.

So whether you are a man growing your stache, a woman who appreciates a man with a good stache, a doctor or someone in the medical field, a golfer, beer drinker, or someone who has lost a loved one to cancer or still fighting the good fight, we hope you can all join the cause to support the Stache Sergeants and Friday Harbour!  Please check out our event page to register and find out more about how you can get involved.  Please also help us spread the word by sharing this with your clients, friends, patients, doctors, or anyone else you might think of.

P.S. If you haven’t started growing your mustache out already, there is no time like the present! “Come for the stache and stay for the cause!”
